While the Triumph 900 Thruxton is a stylish café racer that enjoys a bit of city hustle, it’s even better as a classic-styled bike for those quick weekend getaways. They love the open road and long sweeping curves. Having said that, these bikes are not going to win any races; they’re not the fastest bike out there, or the lightest, or the most technical.

While the Thruxton will ‘do the ton’, this parallel twin’s linear power curve feels strong and solid, pulling hard from 4,000 rpm up. This is the joy with this engine, and it’s quite happy and comfortable sitting in that 110-120kph zone out on the open road. 

The modern Thruxton takes its styling cues and lines straight from the 1970s. It’s a capable bike and perfect for the rider who wants vintage styling but without the hassle that comes with owning a vintage bike.
